What's involved
What this repair actually is.
The steering knuckle is the cast hub carrier that connects your wheel bearing, brake caliper, ball joints, and tie rod at each front corner. Pothole and curb impacts can bend or crack it, throwing alignment off in ways adjustments can't fix. We transfer or replace the attached components onto the new knuckle and finish with a full alignment.
Symptoms
How you can tell.
- Alignment can't be brought into spec after an impact
- Steering pulls after hitting a deep pothole or curb
- Uneven tire wear that alignments don't cure
- Clicking or grinding from a damaged bearing seat
- Visible crack or bend in the knuckle
If you delay
A bent knuckle stresses the wheel bearing and ball joints and keeps eating tires until something fails outright.
