What this repair actually is.
The master cylinder is the heart of the brake system — it converts your pedal push into hydraulic pressure for all four wheels. When its internal seals wear, the pedal slowly sinks at a stop or goes soft even with no visible leak. We replace the master cylinder, bench-bleed it, bleed the full system, and road-test until the pedal is solid.
Symptoms

- Fluid leaking at the firewall behind the brake booster
- Red BRAKE warning light with a low pedal
