What this repair actually is.
When a section of exhaust pipe is rusted through or crushed beyond repair, we remove it and install a new intermediate, over-axle, or tailpipe section with fresh gaskets, clamps, and hangers as needed. Bronx winters and road salt are brutal on exhaust pipes, so we use aluminized or stainless replacements that hold up.

If you delay
A rotted pipe can break loose while driving, and cabin exhaust leaks are a carbon monoxide danger.
