What's involved
What this repair actually is.
Blind spot monitoring uses two small radars in the rear corners of the car, and bumper work, a parking tap, or a sensor replacement can throw off their coverage zones. We verify both sensors are mounted correctly, run the manufacturer calibration for each side, and confirm the mirror alerts and cross-traffic warnings trigger at the right distances.
Symptoms
How you can tell.
- Blind spot warning light stuck on or never comes on
- 'Blind spot system unavailable' message
- Alerts triggering with no car beside you
- System stopped working after rear bumper repair or a rear-end tap
- Rear cross-traffic alert missing cars in parking lots
If you delay
You may trust a blind spot system that can no longer see reliably — a missed warning during a lane change is exactly the accident it exists to prevent.
