What's involved
What this repair actually is.
Vent and quarter windows are the small panes at the front of the door or behind the rear doors, and thieves target them because they're cheap-looking but open the whole car. Many are bonded into the body or come pre-assembled in a trim frame (encapsulated), so the exact part varies a lot by vehicle. We identify the correct glass for your car, remove the broken unit, clean out the pellets, and bond or clip the new pane in with a proper weather seal.
Symptoms
How you can tell.
- Small triangle window smashed in a break-in
- Quarter glass behind the rear door broken
- Wind noise or whistling from a small side window
- Water trickling in around a small fixed window
If you delay
Even a small broken pane leaves the car open to weather and a second break-in, and taped-over glass draws attention.
