What this repair actually is.
The sway bar rides in two rubber bushings clamped to the frame. When the rubber hardens, cracks, or wears loose, the bar knocks and squeaks as the suspension moves. We unbolt the brackets, fit new bushings (both at once — they come as a set for the bar), and grease and torque everything back in place.

- Squeaking or creaking over speed bumps
- Dull clunk from under the middle of the vehicle
- Rubbery groaning noise in cold weather
- Noise when the body leans in turns
If you delay
Worn bushings let the sway bar slap against its brackets, which wears the bar itself and gets noisier over time.
