What's involved

What this repair actually is.

Hybrids and EVs run a separate coolant circuit for the inverter and power electronics, and the coolant degrades just like engine coolant. We drain the loop, refill with the exact manufacturer-specified coolant, and bleed the system so the electric pump circulates properly.

Symptoms

How you can tell.

  • Coolant in the inverter reservoir looks dirty or low
  • Hybrid or EV system overheat warning
  • Whining electric pump noise
  • Reduced power in hot weather
  • Service reminder for hybrid/EV coolant
If you delay

Old or low inverter coolant lets the power electronics overheat, which can destroy the inverter — a repair many times the cost of this service.
