What's involved
What this repair actually is.
We install a new battery matched to your vehicle's cold-cranking and reserve-capacity specs, clean and protect the terminals, and verify the charging system is keeping it topped up. On many newer vehicles the new battery must also be electronically registered so the car charges it correctly — we handle that too.
Symptoms
How you can tell.
- Slow or labored cranking, especially on cold mornings
- Needing jump starts
- Battery warning light on
- Battery is more than 4–5 years old
- Corrosion or swelling on the battery case
If you delay
A weak battery will eventually strand you without warning and can overwork the alternator, turning a one-part job into two.
Maintenance tip
Test annually after 3 years.
