What this repair actually is.
Each wheel has a small sensor that tells the ABS computer how fast that wheel is spinning. When one fails or its wiring corrodes, the ABS and traction control shut off and the dash lights up. We confirm which sensor is bad with a scan tool, replace it, and verify the system reads all four wheels correctly.
Symptoms

- ABS and traction control lights on together
- Speedometer acting erratically
- ABS engaging or buzzing at low speed on dry pavement
- Traction control cutting power for no reason
- Failed inspection for an ABS light
If you delay
With ABS disabled the wheels can lock in a panic stop or on wet pavement, and the lit warning light is an automatic NY inspection failure.
