What's involved

What this repair actually is.

The grille is usually the first thing to break in a front-end tap. We remove the damaged grille, transfer the emblem and any trim, and fit a new one — checking the radiator support and A/C condenser behind it while we're there. Vehicles with radar cruise control behind the emblem may need the sensor recalibrated.

Symptoms

How you can tell.

  • Grille cracked, shattered, or missing sections
  • Grille rattling or hanging loose
  • Broken mounting tabs after a front bumper hit
  • Emblem or chrome trim broken off
If you delay

An open grille lets road debris straight into the A/C condenser and radiator, turning a cheap trim part into a cooling-system repair.
